The last breath of my Nikon Fe2 (on route 66)
Project info

This is no fairy tale...

I had put the negatives away. They were all destroyed, I had forgetten about them. My nikon was dying, light was getting through it, its mirror would stay open, and worst of all, it'd only trigger once in a while. The negatives were crap too and I remember I almost trashed them at the time. It was in 2009, on route 66, a destination I had dreamed about since I was a child.

It's funny how time change our perspective on things...And what can be seen as your worst failures turn out to be something you get to like and then cherish...

These pictures are the last ones taken with my old friend before it died, a nikon FE2, somewhere along route 66. There are like flowers on a tombstone. I could not have dreamed of a better celebration for a camera...
