The Passenger, is a collection of images that have been shot on my journeys through Cuba. All of these pictures have been taken during a taxi journey. In Cuba, taxis are vintage American cars, bicycles, mopeds and ancient eastern block jalopies - which are seemingly held together with nothing but prayers and Gaffa tape. In fact, anyone who drives a car in Cuba will gladly stop and give you a lift for a small fee. It’s a fantastic way to travel and a great way to see the country. I love to watch the streets glide by and grab snapshots of peoples lives as they are unveiled to you in a fleeting moment. The everyday lives of people that I don’t know and may never see again. These pictures have been shot over the past three years in Havana, Cienfuegos, Trinidad and many roads along the way.
