„ Buddhist life in Burma/Myanmar“
Project info

The series documents some moments of buddhist life in Burma/Myanmar.
Myanmar has more than 50 Million people. About 90 percent of the people are buddhist. More than 500.000 men and women live as monks and nun, sometimes only for months or years, sometimes for the whole life.
They are begging and singing for their meal early in the morning and they eat only one time per day. It is a religious tradition for the people to donate the food.
Children at least aged 9 are educated in monasteries, where sometimes live up to 5.000 novices.
