This is a project about grief, family and happiness. In this series called "We're happy together" I photographed my family while we got together for holidays and celebrations, the only moments we had together after my father passed away. At such reunions we tried to have a continuous live as a family that would be frozen in time every time we parte ways only to be resumed in our next encounter.
After my father's passing, my sisters moved to different parts of the country, so birthdays and holidays became our only chance to be together. These celebrations became our everyday and so we lived them as if they were, not only full of joy but we allowed ourselves to be sad as well. I photographed our happiest moments which were also our only chance to mourn our loss as a family.
