In college, I studied Christianity because I wanted to examine the religion from an academic point of view. What I realized is that my Catholic upbringing was more ingrained in my subconscious than I previously thought it was. I wrestled with the notion of original sin and struggled to reconcile sexuality and piety. With my mind ablaze from my studies, I found that these themes kept unintentionally creeping into my photographic work.
This project is a visual narrative of my inner discord as a Catholic and a sexual being.
