For the last two years I have been living in Barcelona, Spain. The city is rightly famous for its Gaudi architecture, glorious beaches, and historic Gothic quarter. Two less visited neighborhoods border the "Barrio Gotic." El Born has many of the same cobblestone streets and Gothic architecture, but has a more local feel, without the chain stores and tourist shops. El Raval is home to a large population of immigrants, many from South Asia and the Middle East.
