Heal, 2013-2016, Ektachrome de 4x5”
Allegedly, there is no point in our past or not -Immediate where we had been reconciled as a society, therefore we sense that we lack collective sense that seeks to strive for a common good that benefits us all. As a result we have beaten, we have suffered as a nation on a collective level. However, it is undeniable that those who suffered most because of the armed struggle in Perú-whether from terrorists or military were farmers, settled in marginal areas of the Sierra and the Amazon.
The Heal series seeks to get closer to the earth, and through the photographic representation of ancient plants used in traditional medicine, poses a subtle and symbolic reading on the "healing wounds" that deep Peru suffered in the decades of 80 and 90 .
