The Quiet Moments
As a journalistic photographer, I live in the shadows waiting for quiet moments of truth. I crawl on my knees at live concerts trying to get the perfect shot while not obstructing the view of the paying public. I have my bags searched and am inspected as I enter prisons to photograph violent offenders who claim to have found redemption. I am always looking for story that can be told in stop motion – one that can get the public to pause and read the accompanying print article. I’ve learned that the long nights of shooting and editing on deadline are what makes my heart sing and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
