Cadmiumbromide is series of eight portraits made in studio with ambrotype technique on aluminium plate of 20x25cm.
Cadmiumbromide is the name of my photography project begun in 2014 in Woodstock. I'm particularly fond on his own project both for the technique and the relationship that is created between the portrayed subject and the photographer.
I consider the wet plate method his personal interpretation of fine art.
Every single shot is unique and the end result is a mix of that beautiful interaction between the portrayed subject and the large format machine, likewise, between the photographer’s vision and the surprise at seeing the picture taking shape on the plate, before your eyes.
