Temporada Baixa / HiberNation
Project info

Along kilometers of coast, emptiness fills the streets, waterparks, apartments, hotel complexes and even real cities. Decades of intense urban development in Catalonia (Spain), in the name of tourism industry, have radically changed our landscape, to the exent of turning it into a big mass of asphalt, swimming pools and purposely placed palm trees. In summer, the promenades, bars, terraces, hotels and apartments are constantly full of swimsuits and towels, cars and bicycles, paellas and beers. The rest of the year, the majority of the year, there is Nothing. Emptiness. Blinds down. Closed for (non) holiday. Low season.
