Don't Say I Didn't Warn You.
Don't Say I Didn't Warn You. (2015-present) is a polaroid project that was born out of frustration - frustrations from feeling trapped in a system where I could not break free, from inherent social constructions, from relationships, from the magnified stress of being a woman in the world. Over the course of my short-lived life, I had experienced censorship of my truest self through everyday, seemingly small, actions of others - flippant phrases that wrapped binds around my body, interactions in the workplace that left me at the bottom of the ladder, abuse from significant others neatly disguised as "tough love". These moments are not unique to my life along. These moments permeate throughout societies and manifest themselves in myriad of ways. Some times these moments are hidden in plain view, while others blatantly stare us in the face. It is these moments that I explore and strive to cast light on - for all that have ever felt small.
