While the sky can become a symbol of poetic yearning, (i.e. A. Stieglitz’s “Equivalents”) it has rarely been depicted as a manifestation of Time and Place.
By using multiple images taken during different times of the day, cropped to different proportions, allows multiple Time variations to be created in a single composition.
Place, is constructed by using only images taken from the same location, which helps unify the composition, by creating a distinct atmosphere for each print.
I assemble these multiple images to construct one image that offers me the opportunity to create a new poem every time.
