Balzac, Alberta
Project info

A series of photographs taken on a 50-acre plot of land in Balzac, Alberta taken in September 2017. Each image represents an aspect of a shrinking prairie culture that exists between the borders of Calgary and Airdrie, both urban centres. I hope that these images highlight moments that are often overlooked in popular photographs of Alberta farm-life, which usually emphasize vast empty fields and spaces and not the people who dwell in them.
