Titanium dioxide
Project info

If photography’s core is the trace of an instant, then the titanium dioxide developer is its chemical representation. Using this, a photograph becomes an abstract, almost dream-like, evidence of the reality it is bonded to. The titanium dioxide enables images to reveal themselves. When peeled off from other bonded layers that makes a polaroid, the previously obscured chemical reaction surfaces. What remains is an abstract trace, a unique chemical imprint of its photographical representation.
