This photographic project is an attempt to redefine the term of distance, an attempt to eliminate the distance between places and people. By connecting various points in the landscapes with a thread, I wanted to create non existent spaces in order to represent the distance between us, whether this distance is metric or communicational. At the right side of every diptych we can see the backside of the image. The absence of the realistic elements (landscape) reveals a new “topology”, a space structured by our inability to communicate. Removing all the natural morphological characteristics of the area the only thing left is the connection between us. We could say that the backside of every image works as a model communicational environment between two people.
