Prague Echoes
Project info

I lived in Prague in the fall of 1994, five years after the “Velvet Revolution” that forced the Communists to relinquish power—a time of optimism and uncertainty. It was a place of beauty, mystery and grand adventure of the sort that can be hard to find in the internet era where travel often means following your phone to the hotel and restaurant with the best online reviews. I’ve gone back to Prague several times in recent years to make these images—fragments and echoes of that first trip, 20 years removed.
