My “process.”
A few years ago I had been photographing a young woman nude, and understandably her mother was concerned about her posing for me. She said to her mother, “I don’t DO anything, I just sit there and Jason finds the beauty.” I did not realize until then, that was my “process.” I do not try to plug a random model into a “concept” rather I talk and listen to her, and observe her movements and of course shape and then I build everything around her, she is my subject nothing else. Thus, I consider myself a “relational” photographer as opposed to a “conceptional” one when it comes to my art. However, in the course of my studio business I usually had to go with the client’s concept.
