Nomad Cycle
Project info

In 2011 I spent one month documenting the life of a nomad family in Mongolia, one of the last places on earth where the nomadic culture still prevails. The pastoral life that was adopted by the nomads during their 3000 years of history makes them move about four times a year in search of better pastures for their cattle. About 50% of the Mongolian population still lives on the steppes, but the economic and social changes of the country are forcing many to leave their traditional way of life behind and migrate to the capital with the illusion of getting a better life.
