Kathy’s Garden explores the mystery abiding in small spaces through a kaleidoscope of shapes, tones, textures and light as they define and redefine place. As a child I reveled in intimate spaces (closets, attic nooks), my secret gardens where I felt free to fantasize and transgress. It was there that I could indulge my feelings. Lingering memory of vague but ardent longing - to learn, to reach beyond my confines, to touch and love - is mirrored in Kathy’s Garden through the enchantment of light and shadow, the mystery of gazing through spaces to and from an indeterminate world, and the eloquent silence of the objects that temporarily inhabit rooms and rafters.
