MANIFESTOS
Project info

My latest latest series MANIFESTOS is comprised of ten 24” by 34” photo-composites printed on Endura Metallic paper, each presenting a focused critique on our consumption based society as an inquiry into not only what we buy, but also "what we buy into." I compose and manipulate images with various software tools, sometimes placing thousands of elements into one piece. By meticulously sourcing, scanning and photographing these images, I am able to combine the right components to start a dialogue. As such, juxtaposition is the foundation of my process. My artistic goal is to translate disquieting content into a lustrous aesthetic, showcasing an intricate appeal in jewel-toned colors and an abundance of gold, my 21st century nod to medieval gilding. But gilded is not golden, gilded has a sense of a patina covering something else. --Leslie Tucker
