This body of work is an investigation into the undercurrents and rituals associated with the American Rodeo and the ethos of American Cowboys and Cowgirls. Once a tradition formed to allow working cowboys a chance to test their skills against one another, has now created a cultural identity in the US; patriotism and nostalgia mixed with excitement and danger form its distinct ideology. These ideas continue to define the specific cultural characteristic of a large population in The United States of America today. The marvelous mayhem, the jumble of people with both contemporary and traditional views, added to faded notions of Americana help this custom remain as it continues to be passed down through the generations.
