This series explored the concept of dreams, originally looking at dream theories, which connects the subconscious to symbolism as a method of understanding dreams. However, as the project progressed, an unlikely link was made between the obscurity and abstraction of dreams and the unpredictability of glitch art, which I had recently been researching. The project soon shifted to the significance of the fragmented pattern in which we remember dreams. Like a glitch, nothing is pre-meditated, and we never get the same results twice. Both dreams and glitches are random and spontaneous. This is where I began to use glitch art in my photography as a mechanism that reflected the random nature of dreams.
