I'm interested in how an image can communicate mood with minimal detail. I'm intrigued by how abstraction can uniquely manifest reality. Ansel Adams, Michael Kenna, Fan Ho, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Tom Baril and Edward Weston's works inspire me in this regard.
Taoism and Wabi-Sabi influence my approach to photography. I enjoy capturing drama minimally while bringing in a layer of the abstract into it through focus, perspective, shooting through a medium, movement and processing. While I see the camera as equipment and its specification, no constraint on the possibility of creating art, I consider the complete workflow of creating images as the artist's palette.
