In more than 46 years of taking photographs I feel that I am finally focusing on what I really want to achieve as a photographer. I want to tell stories. I want my photos not only to capture my interpretation of beauty, but I want to convey someone else’s world through portraiture, as they allow the camera to reveal a part of themselves. I want the photos to serve a higher purpose other than for their own sake.
This is a quote by one of my favourite photographers:
“There is a creative fraction of a second when you are taking a picture. Your eye must see a composition or an expression that life itself offers you, and you must know with intuition when to click the camera”
