The most important part of photography for me is the process. I take pictures because it makes me feel alive. It allows me knock on other peoples doors, to enter their lives and to explore how they feel. For me photography is a very intense form of communication. In the end the pictures are the evidence that this exchange took place and when they are good enough, they can transport my feelings to other people. Currently I am spending a lot of time trying to get funding for a clinical study, which explores the power of photography as a therapeutic tool- the “Photography Therapy” for people suffering from eating disorders. But to get collaborations funded between science and art in serious Germany with all the bureaucracy seems nearly impossible.
