Richard Binhammer began pursuing photography in 1994 when he permanently relocated from his native Canada to the United States.
His photographs explore the roots of U.S political, economic and cultural histories: what is, leads us to what was. He works primarily in digital black and white infrared.
Binhammer has participated in several group exhibits in Connecticut, New York, New Mexico, Ohio and Virginia. His photographs are included in several corporate and private collections.
A self-taught photographer, Binhammer’s previous career was in corporate communications. He has a Master’s degree from Queen’s University in political science.
