At the age of 12, I embarked on a life-changing journey to Uganda for missions and relief work with my family. Armed with a small point-and-shoot camera gifted by my father, I became captivated by the people I encountered. Their appearance, culture, and language were vastly different from anything I had known, yet I was struck by the universal human experiences reflected in their actions and expressions. This early experience instilled in me a deep appreciation for the shared elements of humanity and the candid moments of everyday life. My work aims to capture fleeting moments, freezing them in time to invite viewers into a deeper engagement with the reality of our shared existence. Through my lens, I seek to reveal the light within these moments, offering a glimpse into the eternal flow of time and space.
