I'm a photojournalist covering Australia and South East Asia. British born and now living in Australia, I write my stories and take my pictures. I've lost count of the years and the stories I've covered in the northern and southern hemispheres, including the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, sea dramas, air dramas (including the ongoing mystery of MH370). I've also written 32 books and taken the covers for a few of them. These days I'm out on the streets, pulled along by the love of mostly black and white photography. In recent times I've been asking myself 'Why did I spend so many years writing, when photography was tearing at my heart?'
