Rick Gilbert is a leading Event/Lifestyle and Portrait Photographer and was the House Photographer for Legendary Concert Promoter John Scher for the last 10 years photographing top artists including The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Foo Fighters, The Tedeschi Trucks Band, LL Cool J, ZZ Top and so many others.
Rick loves shooting landscapes and specifically urban landscapes.
His journalistic approach and love of shooting in natural light was influenced by the work of Walker Evans, Berenice Abbott and Eugene Atget. "My parents were always involved in the art world and my mother is a painter and sculptor but I could never draw. When I first saw Atget's images at the Met in NYC as a kid, I had an immediate connection and picked up the camera and began shooting".
