Rina Inache (Irina Fitzgerald) is an emerging multidisciplinary artist based in Ottawa, Canada, working primarily with photography alongside collage, painting, and mixed-media interventions.
Her practice begins with observation and is rooted in an attentiveness to moments when ordinary environments briefly shift in perception. Through photography, Inache responds to fleeting encounters with light, color, atmosphere, and spatial relationships that transform familiar places into sites of reflection. Rather than constructing narratives, she follows visual impulses that reveal unexpected emotional resonance within everyday surroundings.
Working across urban and natural landscapes, her images examine how memory, belonging, and identity become attached to place through lived experience and repeated acts of attention. Human presence often remains indirect: traces, arrangements, and alterations within the environment suggest individual and collective histories without explicitly depicting their subjects.
Raised within a cross-cultural environment and later shaped by migration, Inache developed an ongoing interest in how people form connections to the places they inhabit and how a sense of home emerges through observation, memory, and experience. Photography serves not only as a means of recording the world but also as a method of understanding it.
Rina Inache studied photography and visual perception at Fine Art Photography School and continued her artistic education through programs in contemporary art practices, portraiture, lighting, and street photography. Her installation project was presented in a group exhibition developed through a Contemporary Art Practices program associated with the Rodchenko School of Photography and Multimedia. Her work has appeared in international photography and art publications, including AGIDEL Magazine, Artells Magazine, and L’Attirance Magazine, and her portfolio is represented on PhotoVogue.
