I am a creative soul. I like to write, create works of art - including photographic art - and compose music. I believe that eternity is in love with time and that time is of the essence.
As to my professional background, I have worked for 30 years as a writer, art director, and creative director in marketing/communications, garnering more than 100 national and international awards for various campaigns (see robertsbook.com). Four of those campaigns are housed in the permanent collection of advertising art at one of Canada's foremost cultural institutions, The Royal Ontario Museum.
Prior to my career in advertising, I worked as a journalist, a magazine editor, and a corporate communications specialist. I received certified bachelor degree equivalency after being schooled at Calgary's Mount Royal College (now Mount Royal University) circa the late 1970s. There I majored in journalism, photojournalism, and editorial design, with electives in art history and painting.
Having abandoned photography in favour of writing for some 40 years, I have returned to it with passion as my golden years unfold.
