Ruggero Pellegrin is an Italian documentary photographer based in Cheshire, England. His work is anthropological in character, examining culture, faith, behaviour, and identity through the perspective of a permanent outsider.
Between 2014 and 2017 he lived and worked in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, documenting expatriate and local life in the Eastern Province. A subsequent period in Texas gave rise to Signs of Belief, a long-term project documenting faith in public space across the United States, England, and Italy. Since 2021 he has been based in England.
His ongoing projects include The English Way of Being, Signs of Belief, Arrested Development, and The Courage Of.
A photo book, Saudi Arabia 2015–2016, is available on Blurb.
