Akram Elhalwegy is an independent visual artist and photographer based in Alexandria and lives in Cairo, Egypt. He studied painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Alexandria University. He is a Co-founder of Manafisto Art studio, Alexandria, Egypt, He was one of the selected artist in the EU program North and South, Bibliotheca Alexandria, 2015. He was selected in the Rosetta art Symposium, Museum of Fine Arts Alexandria, 2017. Akram Elhalwegy is particularly interested in the transformation that happens to places, and started to photograph these changes and make his own vision to show it to everyone in an abstract scenes. He participated in a lot of Exhibitions in Egypt and outside Egypt like Youth Salon 2013, Freedom in pixels , Belgium, 2013, and a lot of other Exhibitions and He won a lot of prizes like CIB prize in the youth salon 2013, 2014. He has a lot of collectibles in Egypt and outside Egypt.
