i was introduced to black and white film photography as a first year fine arts student at the University of Western Sydney. I was to drop out that same year to pursue work as the starving artist gig was not all that romantic for a young man in a new City without a support network of any kind.
1995 was the cusp of the transition from analogue to digital, neither of which I could afford as even a hobbyist at the time. Fast forward to 2017, back in rural Australia, and a father now. I was reintroduced to my passion for photography. Purchased my first DSLR, a dated second hand Olympus off eBay.
Instantly gravitating towards 'street' photography before being aware of the genre, today you'll find me with a Nikon D750 and a Sony A7iii if not on the street hunting for that definitive moment, conceptualising, creating, executing, and editing my portrait visions.
