Scott Sternbach began his career as a photographer in the late 1970’s. Early on Scott photographed many outstanding Jazz musicians and entertainers while traveling the world shooting documentaries. He ran a private portrait studio in Manhattan and was regularly published in prominent periodicals. Today Scott directs the Photography program at LaGuardia Community College/ City University of New York. His recent accolades include a National Science Foundation Antarctic Fellowship, an exhibition at the American Museum of Natural History which is currently on a world tour and a Bureau Of Educational and Cultural Affairs grant, which funds a travel abroad program at CUNY.
