About Serenay Anik Gok

My passion for photography started when I was at high school. This journey that I started with the compact machine my father bought me is still ongoing. After studying Sociology as my undergraduate degree, I chose to do my master's degree in Art and Design. Thus, I had the opportunity to work in the field of visual sociology, which is the intersection of sociology and photography. My master's thesis is on the relationship between photography and memory. Currently, I am working on my proficiency in art. I first started photography with my self-portraits in different disguises. This beginning gave way to the street. On the street, I like to take photographs of people who are going on about their lives. In my opinion, the moments captured on the street are when and where people are as they are.
