Sergio Dominguez was born in La Pampa, Argentina in 1979. He is currently living in Córdoba, working as a photographer since 2006. During his training period he studied with several photographers. Since 2009, he is the head professor of the “Documentary Photography” course and “Black and White Lab” course at the Center of Photographic Studies (Córdoba, Argentina).
In 2011 he was selected by the UOM Prize for his work and its contribution made to the fight against child labor, in 2013 for the UNC Prize by the Eva Perón Foundation and in 2016 for the Ciudad de Córdoba Award.
In 2014 he was shortlisted for the New York Times Lens Portfolio Review and for the 10th Paraty em Foco. His work has been exhibited at the Tucuman Biennale of Documentary Photography in 2012 (Argentina), at the Fotograma 13 (Montevideo Photography Biennale, Uruguay), the Tiradentes Festival during 2015 (Brazil), and at the 7° Nano Festival 2017 (Buenos Aires, Argentina).
