Shail Joshi is an environmental planner, conservationist and photographer whose work sits at the intersection of people, place, and climate. He is the author of Along the Betwa (ORO Editions), documenting the impact of urbanization on river systems and communities. His photographs have been exhibited and featured in the International Photo Biennale in Chennai, NYC Climate Museum, the Living Water Museum, and bylines of National Geographic. As the former photographer for Brooklyn Baithak, a pioneering platform for South Asian arts, he has contributed to the documentation of classical traditions. Shail holds a Master in City Planning from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and is a former architect. He currently works at World Wildlife Fund (WWF) on climate adaptation, locally led adaptation, and climate governance. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
