Sherry has had many lives, each one driven by a passion to learn and grow. In her mid-20’s she returned to school as a mature student and sought work related to business, her field of study.
Looking inward after a diagnosis of kidney cancer she took a year off to travel and explore her love of the ocean. She decided upon her return to relocate to Nova Scotia and pursue a dream of working on the ocean. A second life-changing illness ended her career and forced her into retirement. As a measure of health returned she began to explore photography on her path to a more creative life.
When she is not exploring the wilds of Nova Scotia, Sherry is a dedicated volunteer in the arts. She is the Program Director of a local Photo Club and has helped several local organizations develop exhibit programs. She is a member of Visual Arts Nova Scotia, the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and the Lunenburg Art Gallery.
