The camera has been my best friend since the age of 5. My journey in photography began by just liking the sound of the shutter so I’d point it at anything just to set it going. It made me feel powerful, as if I were sniper out on a mission.
Having hailed from a business oriented family I did my Bachelors in Commerce only to know the camera was still my best friend. They say if you and your best friend last 7 years together it's a relationship for life. I knew what my calling was within the first year of college itself. So while trying to understand trial balances I’d do pro bono shoots for family and friends, be it shooting at a restaurant or clicking children at a summer camp where my aunt taught. It made me so happy.
It’s been over 9 months of commercial work but I haven't lost touch of just being by myself wandering the streets of India capturing anything that grabs my eye. It might be the simplest of things but if I feel it, the shutter goes off.
