I am Silvana Trevale a Venezuelan photographer based in London, after finishing my BA at the University of Huddersfield I moved to the city and started working as a freelance photographer. The escalating crisis in my home country of Venezuela has motivated me to produce two of my latest bodies of work. With photography, I have found an outlet to empower my people as they face one of the most difficult political crisis is in the world today. I have just returned to the UK as I was completing a piece of work centered on the Venezuela Youth funded by the Royal Photographic Society as I was awarded the Joan Wakelin Award. Additionally, I have won the bronze medal for the Best Portfolio Award at the OffSpring Photomeet 2017 and I was part of the RPS IPE 160 exhibition.
