Simon Fässler is an architect and photographer. In his photographic work, he strives to document the reality yet to leave space for the abstract. Simon is a passionate observer. He loves to inquire deeply about culture, to immerse the unknown and to explore the unfamiliar.
He was awarded an honorable mention in the International Photographer of the Year 2016 photo contest in the category Architecture for the series "Chott el Djerid" as well as in the category People for the portrait "Samanta".
He practiced in Zurich, Berlin, and New York and currently lives in Brooklyn.
