Stefano Armanini. Born in Milan, 1975. Takes first photos in 1985. Takes photography seriously in 2015 – that’s 30 years of zombie photography (i.e. shooting around with no artistic insight nor a definite direction). So finally decides to be an author. Hallelujah. Gets honorable mention at SI FEST 2016 Portfolio review. Mainly a landscape photographer. Influenced by ‘80s Italian masters (Ghirri, Barbieri, Fossati), New Topographics-oriented authors (Baltz, Adams, Shore), misc contemporary authors, above all Gerry Johansson (calls himself a gerryjohanssoner). Digs digital and digs printing and to the same degree eats salty AND savory breakfast (around noon, usually).
