German-born freelance photographer and artist based in Berlin.
As a mother of five children, I have developed a natural interest in the question of who we are, and what defines us. Recurrent themes in my work are identity, belonging and also womanhood.
I studied at the Sir John Cass School of Art, Architecture and Design, London; with coursework also at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and Central Saint Martins, London.
Awards include an honorable mention at the IPA 2018 for ‚99’ and ‚dear all’; I was also a finalist of the 11th J.M.Cameron Award, finalist of the EyeEm Award 2018 in Photojournalism and shortlisted for the Observer Hodge Award.
Exhibitions include Berlin Photo Week 2018; Barcelona Foto Biennale 2018; Alex Proud Gallery, London (Observer Hodge Award); Old Truman Brewery, London (DnAD 'New Blood'); London Guildhall University (Spitalfields Project); Maison Bertaux, Soho, London; Forum Bundeskunsthalle Bonn.
