About STEPHEN BLAHA

My love of photography began in college when I was too impatient to learn how to draw and paint. Photography was the next best, immediate thing for a budding artist. It is a medium that calls itself truth but allows for a seamless bending of reality in wonderful ways. But it was understood in my family and my limited life view that it could never be a career for me unfortunately. So I became a marketing executive instead.

Much later in life I picked up the camera again and started a side career in event photography for fifteen years.

As that ended eight years ago, I became entranced by the Pano format on my iPhone. I love the wide and unique 270° story it creates seamlessly retold with magic realism.

I am inspired when I travel so most of my images are from around the world. I also believe in social justice and march alongside my brothers and sisters, phone in hand, swinging around in circles to capture the energy and important messages.

Lastly, I have a bad memory lol so these are my life photo albums. I am so happy to share them with you.
