Steve Johnstone was born and lives in South Yorkshire, in the UK. Initially trained as an engineer in the 1980's, and then later in life studied fine art, he hasn't had any formal photography training, other than from workshops. His work is all digital and although he is interested in a variety of genre his disability has drawn him to focus on street and documentary photography. His style is influenced by photographer Saul Leiter
