Steve Renwick grew up in Maine and was educated as a physicist in Connecticut. He drifted into the semiconductor industry and was lured to the late-20th-century Gold Dot Com Rush in California in 2000. He works mainly with black-and-white film and darkroom techniques, preferring to shun a computer. He concentrates on images of the quotidian and everyday, trying to find interest in subjects one might normally pass by.
