I am a recently retired congregational rabbi who, after years of taking snapshots, decided to heed the advice of friends who said I should take photography seriously.
Over the course of my life I recognized in myself a love of the visual. Simply put, I like to look. For me, photography is a means by which to capture and observe that which is. To be sure, it is all momentary. As such, the camera has become my time-machine.
While I continue to explore the various genres of photography, increasingly I find myself attracted to taking pictures of people. It’s all about story-telling, I think.
