For some 35 years I worked in international development and rarely took photographs. Mixing work and photography seemed to me to cross the lines between providing technical support for economic development and tourism.
I started shooting street, landscape, concert, portrait and travel photography in the summer of 2016. Photography allows me to capture, process, reflect upon, and convey messages that cannot otherwise be easily expressed in words. The photo series I construct are intended as visual messages that evoke memories, provoke feelings, challenge norms and awaken emotions. This series, the full version of which is on my website, is a journey into two-wheeled imagination.
