I am a portrait photographer, with over 20 years experience, and a qualified member of the BIPP. I fell in love with photography whilst studying art and design at school. Drawn to photography by the combination of creativity and technical skill. I then went on to complete a BA hons degree in Photography at the University of Creative Arts in Farnham. During my degree, I focused on documentary portraiture photography. After Graduating in 1998, with a 1st class honours degree, my images were featured in the John Kobal Portrait Prize. I was also runner up in the Observer Hodge Award in 1999.

From 2000 to 2013 I had a successful career with one of the leading portrait companies in the UK. I gained a huge amount of experience photographing with people of all ages and developing my business skills. Along with my wife Cathy, I now run Lovelight Photography. Based near Guildford, Surrey, we are an independent family run business passionate about producing the highest quality photography.
